Security

Security for downloads, payments, and POS data.

Saleculator is designed as local-first POS software. Customers control their POS computer, local database, users, devices, backups, and network access.

Local responsibility

Because normal POS data is stored on the customer machine or local network, customers should protect Windows/Linux accounts, database passwords, backups, network access, and physical devices.

Safe downloads

Customers should download Saleculator from saleculator.com release pages and verify the version and checksum where needed before installing.

Payments

Card, UPI, wallet, or other payment details are handled by the payment provider checkout. Saleculator does not ask customers to send card numbers, UPI PINs, passwords, or OTPs to support.

Support safety

Support requests should avoid passwords, serial keys, database passwords, private customer data, or complete card/payment credentials. Share screenshots only after masking sensitive values.

Remote access

Remote access should be enabled only when needed, with customer approval, strong credentials, and a clear support purpose. Customers should disable access when no longer required.

Report a concern

Report suspected security issues to shameer@saleculator.com with the subject Security. Include affected page, version, steps to reproduce, and screenshots without secrets.
