Modern Java 17 release package.

This release standardizes the deployable POS package with an obfuscated Saleculator.jar, Java 17 preflight checks, MySQL-only setup guidance, and repeatable release documentation.

What changed

Final application JAR is Saleculator.jar.
Release JAR is obfuscated with ProGuard.
Java minimum runtime is 17.
Windows installer includes First Run Setup, preflight, support info, and uninstall shortcuts.
First-run business setup collects business name, address, tax ID, receipt paper, and footer without XML editing.
Shared MySQL business profile keeps receipt identity consistent across network counters.
Database setup screen includes local MySQL, network MySQL, and connection-test actions.
Runtime ZIP includes Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi/minimal Debian deployment scripts.
Database support is MySQL only.
First Run Setup guides standalone/main POS and network-client configuration.

Who should upgrade

Existing customers who want a cleaner install flow, modern Java runtime, documented release package, and better technician support path should evaluate this release. Shops using old unsupported hardware should validate Java 17 and peripherals before production use.

Before upgrading

Take a MySQL backup, keep the current working installer or runtime ZIP, note the current database URL, and verify printer, scanner, reports, backup, and activation behavior on one machine before rolling out to every counter.

Known precautions

This release standardizes on MySQL and Java 17. Do not change a working multi-device shop database URL without confirming every POS client can reach the central MySQL server.

Rollback guidance

If an upgrade fails, stop Saleculator, restore the previous program folder or installer, keep the same database backup point, and collect support-info output before retrying.

Customer-safe rollout sequence

Run backup from Saleculator maintenance and take an external MySQL dump if available.
Install 4.5.1 on a test or secondary machine first.
Confirm Java 17, MySQL login, receipt printing, barcode scanning, reports, and activation.
For network POS, upgrade one client and confirm it points to the same central database.
Roll out remaining counters only after billing and settlement are verified.

/update/version.html is preserved for older clients and returns the same version token.
